Privacy notice
We keep this notice short on purpose. It explains, in plain language, what data we process when you visit DMD Awareness.
What we process when you visit
When you visit the site, we process limited technical information needed to deliver pages, keep the service secure, and understand site usage in aggregate. This includes the pages you visit, the date and time, your approximate location (country level), and basic device information such as browser type.
Newsletter signups
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the name and email address you submit. We also record the date and time of the submission, your IP address, browser identification (user agent), and the referring page. This metadata is kept alongside the email to help us prevent abuse of the form and respond to delivery problems.
We use this information only to send you the newsletter and to keep the signup list manageable. We do not share or sell it. You can request removal at any time using the contact details on the about page.
Analytics
We use Google Tag Manager to load measurement tags that help us understand which content is useful. The newsletter form sends events (submission attempts, successes, and errors) to the same measurement layer. We do not use advertising or remarketing tags, and we do not sell or share visitor data.
What we do not do
- We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies.
- We do not sell, share, or trade visitor or subscriber data.
- We do not collect accounts, comments, or any user-generated content beyond the newsletter signup described above.
Why
To operate and secure the site, deliver the newsletter you requested, and understand which content is useful in aggregate. Under GDPR and LGPD, our legal basis for visit data and analytics is our legitimate interest in running a secure informational site; for newsletter data, our legal basis is your explicit consent given when you submit the form.
Retention
Technical records are kept only for as long as necessary for the purposes above and are then deleted. Newsletter signup data is kept until you request removal.
Your rights
You have the right to request information about the data we process about you, to ask for corrections, or to request deletion. Because we do not link visits to identifiable accounts, we may not be able to identify a specific person within our records, but we will respond in good faith. Contact details are on the about page.
Children
This site is informational and not directed at children. We do not knowingly process data from children.
Updates
We may update this notice. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
